LIBRARY RULES
TIMT Library rules and regulations for the session 2010-1011.
The following persons may use library:
- All the students on rolls of the Institute.
- All the members of Management & Board of Governors.
- All the staff & faculty members.
- Any corporate person after obtaining permission from the Director.
OPENING HOURS
The Library remains open on all the working days for the following duration.-
CIRCULATION OF BOOKS
- Each student of MBA, MCA, BBA & BCA will be issued 4 readers’ Tickets for the purpose of getting books. These tickets are not transferable and are to be used by the member only. The person named on the ticket is solely responsible for the books borrowed on it.
- Only one book will be issued per Readers’ Ticket at a time. Hence, a student can have maximum of 4 books at a single time.
- Books are issued to the student for a period of 5 days. Same title will be issued to the borrower after a gap of 7 days.
- Journals, Periodicals, Magazines, Newspapers & other References material are not for the issue purpose. However, 2 month back issues of magazines/ journals can be issued for the overnight purpose.
- CDs are issued for the overnight purpose.
- Any book or reading material issued to the students can be recalled on a 24 hour notice.
FINE & PENALTY RULES
- A fine of Rs. 5 per day per book will be charged from the student if book in not returned within the due period of 5 days.
- For the back volumes of magazines, journals & CDs which are issued for overnight purpose, fine is Rs. 10 per day per material.
- If any harm is caused to the reading material viz, by ‘handling a book with dirty hands, wet fingers while turning pages, turning down the corner of books as a mark, making or writing therein with ink; the borrowed will have to replace the issued material with a new one.
- In case of loss of book, students will have to deposit the price of the lost book along with a fine equivalent to 50% cost of the lost book over it.
GENERAL RULES
- Students are required to carry their Identity card with them whenever they enter the Library.
- Proper discipline is o be maintained by the students inside the Library. So, they should be in prper uniform while using the Library.
- Students are required to observe silence in the library.
- Mobile phones are not allowed in the library.
- The Director may change any or all the Library rules without notice.
